An Operational Assessment is a methodical and comprehensive approach to analyzing all facets of an operation– from organizational staffing, team members and people utilization, processes, and management systems. It enables an organization to identify what areas have the most opportunity, where the investments should be made, and how those changes need to occur . . . to meet both the customer’s and management’s expectations and requirements.

An Operational Assessment can help build a continuous improvement roadmap that includes both short term “just do it” projects and longer-term operational, technology and automation initiatives that drive innovation in an operation and enable a company to answer essential questions, such as:

• How can we figure out where to go if you don’t know where we are today?
• How do we know if we are as efficient as we could be? 
• What do we need to change to support the business’ growth?
• How can we increase productivity and reduce cost?

Argent can provide an in-depth operational assessment from an unbiased third-party perspective. We use Industrial Engineering principles to assist our clients by conducting an objective, independent operational assessment to identify areas for potential improvement. We combine observations, data collection and analysis and information gathered during interviews to understand a client’s company culture, processes, product mix, order profiles, technology/systems and the issues being faced.

We collaborate with our clients to develop well-focused actionable, detailed recommendations that present operational changes and best practices that will significantly improve the operation. Our recommendations are developed by drawing upon our experience and expertise, the data collected and analyzed, and information and insights obtained from interviews. The recommendations will be prioritized based on resources and capital expenditures required, as well as benefits. Opportunities to derive benefit from “low hanging fruit” can be addressed in conjunction with a roadmap for implementing other recommendations such as tactical and/or strategic initiatives.
