VantageRPM provides full visibility into direct and indirect labor so that management has the information necessary for accurately determining costs, making informed business decisions and improving overall profitability and productivity. VantageRPM has been developed by engineers, with input from operators, who understand the importance of capturing all of the time and volume data associated with tethered direct functions, untethered direct functions, indirect functions, team functions and exception activities throughout the workday. The system design incorporates innovative and efficient ways to accurately capture and categorize labor hours so each type is a distinguishable component of the system’s LMS reporting protocol. Untethered associates can use a kiosk to quickly and easily log into specific job or exception codes for each of the activities they perform throughout the day. Data can also be manually entered through a user-friendly interface, thereby facilitating the capture of the activity data for all associates. The comprehensive data provided by the system makes it possible to implement and expect accountability for the effective labor management of all functions.

Labor Standards

VantageRPM utilizes the type of labor standard appropriate for each function (historical, reasonable expectancy or engineered). The system can be easily updated at any time to reflect changes to the type of standard, standard factors, units of measure or other metrics, or the addition of new functions and their associated factors. The system retains a history of all standards, schedules the activation and deactivation of seasonal standards and provides progression schedules for LMS implementation, onboarding or reassignment.

Performance Coaching Planning and Tracking

Performance coaching strengthens the supervisor-associate relationship, creates a high-performance culture focused on mutual success and plays a vital role in ensuring the effective use of a Labor Management System. VantageRPM facilitates the planning for and scheduling of coaching sessions based upon performance, an established schedule or as a follow-up to a previous coaching session. The system provides the information necessary to prepare for an observation and facilitates the entry of observation data and coaching session comments into the system for future reference. Coaching goals can be established and reports can be customized to track the performance of individual coaches and the effectiveness of the overall program by comparing the number of coaching sessions conducted to the coaching goals. The Performance Coaching Module can be implemented as a stand-alone solution.

Forecasting and Labor Planning

This important feature of the LMS enables operators to plan labor needs in advance and align the workforce with anticipated demand fluctuations thereby minimizing overtime and optimizing staffing levels. The factors needed to develop an effective labor plan are the anticipated volume and the expected performance and utilization. VantageRPM provides the flexibility to forecast volume: as a specific volume, by selecting the historic volume for a date range, or by applying a percent increase or decrease to a historic or previously specified volume. The system also enables you to adjust performance and utilization to model the impact of untrained and experienced workers in calculating the estimated labor requirements.

XYZ Travel

VantageRPM utilizes an XYZ coordinate system to calculate the travel time to perform a work assignment based upon the optimum travel path and the equipment used. The system takes into account the horizontal travel and vertical lift times, equipment speed, turns, designated speed zones, one-way aisles, no-travel zones, stops and congestion to determine the amount of travel time to be used to calculate performance.

Incentive Pay

VantageRPM can be customized to meet the unique needs of each client to ensure that associate rewards are aligned with the client’s goals to reward high-performing associates, boost engagement and retention and be self-funded by the savings generated. To facilitate bonus payments, the system calculates the individual and team performance information needed to administer an effective incentive payment program.
